Can the look of Office Ability be changed to match our corporate theme?

Yes we will customize the header area (the top area containing the name & logo) to your company logo, Intranet Name, tag-lines, color theme. We will also set the color styles for the main design elements to match your color themes.

What about security? We are concerned about hackers and system abuse.

We have developed Office Ability with a priority on security. We have built-in several precautions to prevent malicious attacks and user abuse. Office Ability includes a built-in firewall, system scanner, and an activity log function is prominent on the main page of the control panel. There is also a “system lock down mode” that will not allow installation of new components and will prevent any unauthorized attempt to create administrative accounts (back-end access accounts).

Can we integrate our existing Intranet applications?

The answer to this will depend on the nature of the application and what your needs may be. Most often we can integrate partially or fully; for example we may be able to developing an application program interface (API) to retrieve data from other applications. If the application is web-based we may be able to develop an inline frame (iFrame) that will allow pages or portions of pages to be displayed on the Intranet. We need to look at development requests individually before we can comment on requirements.

Our Intranet is quite old but contains information that we would like to have available on a redesigned Intranet. Is this possible?

Most probably the answer is yes. Our development team is expert in database design and we will be able to evaluate your existing system and to make recommendations for preserving your data and bringing it forward into a redesigned Intranet, if that is the objective.

We are very interested in online publishing to update our employees. Can anyone contribute or do we need to know HTML to build the pages?

The short answer is that anyone can add/edit/update content. No technical ability is required but the user will require the appropriate access permissions. Office Ability includes a strong content manager and the development platform is arguably the very best online publishing system available. This means you will be able to create content on an HTML editor that gives you tools to change styles, add images, create links, and one click publishing to your Intranet site.

Do I need to hire technical staff to run this application?

The advantage of software-as-a-service applications is that we manage the servers, configuration, and maintenance of the software. If you select to host Office Ability on your own servers you may require supplemental technical support for tasks such as configuration of the Intranet software, manage your hosting, security monitoring, data storage management, data backups, and routine maintenance.

Will there be updates available for this application?

Our team of developers is continually working to improve the function of our Intranet product and to add other web-based office tools to our suite of products. We expect the occasional feature will be available as an extension to your Intranet application and Office Ability, updates within your current version will be available for free.
