Office Ability Version 2.2.0 Released December 2009
Office Ability Intranet announces the release of the next main revision of our remarkable Intranet application. This revision addresses several requests for added functionality that we have had from clients, along with several additional updates and improvements.
Version 2.2.0 updates include:
- New Chat Room Feature – We have added a flash-based chat room feature that provides a secure approach to internal network communications. The chat rooms feature is built on a robust chat engine that allows users to create unlimited rooms that can be set as public or protected by password for private meetings. There are many other features including enhanced admin moderation, predefined messages, document & image sharing, custom user themes, and much more.
- Job Board - We are pleased to introduce our new job board function that allows users to search for job postings, view details, and apply via online form. Administration is very straight forward and simple.
- Rooms/Resource Booking - We have added a fantastic new rooms booking function that will allow you to define areas (e.g., floor or building), list all meeting rooms, and all users may book from a very intuitive booking calendar. Easy to use and simple to administrate, the feature can also be used for booking other resources such as A/V equipment or vehicles.
- Personal Calendar – We have split the personal calendar from the company event calendar. This gives users even more control over personal time management, including the ability to display personal events so that others may also see their status.
- Login / Navigation – There is an updated login function that puts the entire Intranet behind a secure login page. We have also revised the Intranet features view to make navigation even more user intuitive.
- Weather / Time Zones – We have added a couple of our favorite applications to Office Ability. The Weather map is a very easy reference tool to quickly check current and forecasted weather conditions, anywhere in the world. To help your users quickly access Time Zone information we have added a customizable and interactive map.
The core Office Ability application still offers all the previous great features; this new release makes our remarkable Intranet application even better. We are convinced that, once you try Office Ability, you will select our Intranet system as the clear choice for your business.
